Introduction To Intrapartum

Articles

The intrapartum period describes the period of labour and childbirth.

Babies are usually born between 37 and 42 weeks of pregnancy. Women and birthing people have several different options when deciding where to have their baby. The choices include a hospital setting, a midwife-led unit or at home.

On this floor, we have a few 360-degree photos showing you a birthing room in a midwifery-led unit and a labour ward and a theatre in a hospital unit. Women and birthing people who experience complications, or for example, are having a caesarean section have their babies in theatre.
