Introduction To Mental Health

Articles

Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year.

People that require help and support with their mental health might see a wide range of different professionals. This care could take place online or by telephone, through home visits, or by visiting a building for appointments. It might include talking therapies, self-help or medication and an individual plan will be set up for each person.

Working in a mental health role can provide the opportunity to support people to thrive, making a huge difference to the lives of individuals, families and the whole community. It is a great way to make a difference that counts.
